Forest hikes, beach exploration, archery, arts & crafts, ropes course, sports, swimming, and adventure trips are just a few activities that add fun and active elements to our summer camp experience. Plus, you get to see the staff dress up in goofy clothes and sing silly songs - and join in yourself!

Camp Location

Sempervirens Summer Camp is located at the Sempervirens Preserve in Boulder Creek, California. The 32 acre site features a large meadow surrounded by mixed oak, madrone, and redwood forest. Scattered through the trees are 12 cabins, 2 campfire areas, and our Dinning Hall. The site also features an organic garden, swimming pool, sand volleyball court, high and low level ropes course, hiking trails, varrious camp animals, and a huge meadows for games and sports. We are also located next to Big Basin State Park where we can explore the old growth forrest. Click here for more pictures!!

Staff

Our staff members have extensive training and teaching experience in environmental education and recreation. They have a passion for working with children in the outdoors and a commitment to creating an environment that is fun, safe, educational, and inclusive.  Each staff member holds at least a bachelor's degree and is certified in both first aid and CPR.

Our counselor staff supervises campers and are with them 24 hours a day. Counselors are at least 18 years of age and are selected from a pool of leaders that have worked at our environmental education programs that run throughout the school year. They receive extensive training in counseling and leadership skills. Sempervirens counselors are the best at providing campers with excellent role modeling and individual care.
